Greater Wyoming Community Resource Alliance

GWCRA (Alliance) is a federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the greater Wyoming community. The Alliance is established to provide for a charitable outlet for citizens and businesses eager to make a sustainable and immediate impact to the very fabric of the community.

Wyoming’s Alliance Announces Grant Opportunity

The Greater Wyoming Community Resource Alliance’s goals are to support non-profit organizations and grass-roots charitable causes which look to improve the fabric of the community through the promotion of social, environmental, economic and health and wellness programs and services. Historically, the Alliance awarded grants only one time per year. In order to be more responsive to emerging needs of the community, the Alliance is modifying its application process to be:

Application: Initial approach by letter (Maximum of 2 pages)

  • May be submitted at any time
  • Include a project description
  • Affirm the purpose/need addressed
  • Identify a target population
  • Anticipated amount of request

The Board of Directors will review letters on a timely basis and invite those it wishes to consider funding to complete a full application.

Letters of approach shall only be accepted by email to the attention of Board Secretary Rebecca Rynbrandt.

Grant period: 
One year from award.
Reporting Period: 
Quarterly and final; all reports shall be electronically submitted.
Geographic Service Area:  
Wyoming, Michigan

Areas of interest:

Generally - Neighborhood associations, neighborhood improvement, community development, youth development and welfare; environment; education; scholarships.

Special Projects - The Board reserves the right to seek applications specific to any area of interest and/or target funding to specific initiatives at any given time.

Types of Support - Equipment; seed money/program development; operating support.

Grant Award Amount:

The Board reserves the right to fund any amount; however, applicants should be aware that the typical grant awards range from $500 to $3000.

Application deadline:
Letters of Approach are accepted at any time. If invited to submit a full application, such will be due two weeks from invitation to do so.
