Wyoming Town Center Businesses
The 3.5 mile stretch of 28th Street (M-11) that extends through Wyoming contains over 230 businesses. This section, known as the Wyoming Town Center, is unique with four major uses: Rogers Plaza, Wyoming Village Mall and Wyoming City Hall/Justice Complex, all within a half-mile radius.
In December 1999, the Wyoming Downtown Development Authority was created to advance this area as a downtown. Recent DDA achievements in the Town Center include: 28th Street streetscape projects, Downtown Plan, Downtown Center Zoning District and public relations related to image and identity, such as WyMan and the Wyoming Town Center tag line: ‘Everything you need, More of what you want.’
