Business Retention Program
Partnered with West Michigan Economic Development Organization, The Right Place, and Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the City's Economic Development Coordinator visits one to two local industries each week. During these visits, the Economic Development team provides business retention services, such as:
- Analysis of economic and unemployment rate factors
- Problem solving
- Workforce training guidance
The goals of these meetings are to uncover any challenges or opportunities. A press release announcing a new product launch or funding for a plant expansion may be the request. Whether simple or complex, our Economic Development Coordinator ensures needs are addressed in a timely manner.
