Family Activities
The benefits are endless!
Bring your baby (newborn-3years old) for fitness and fun. This class will incorporate several types of fitness to give you a total body workout while keeping your baby active and engaged. (Check with your doctor before starting or resuming any exercise program.)
Daddy Daughter Dance
Spend some quality time with your special little girl. This dance is for girls ages 4-13 years and their favorite adult date (Dad, Grandpa, Uncle or special friend). The evening will include dancing, refreshments, a picture and special memories.
Geocaching 101
Do you own a GPS unit or considering purchasing one? Did you know that, among many other things, you can use a GPS unit to take part in scavenger hunt type activities, know as Geocaching? This class will introduce you to this life-long activity for people of all ages. You will be surprised to learn about the many different places Geocaching can take you.
Geocaching Trekkers
Make use of your GPS unit and take part in this high-tech scavenger hunt that will take you into various parks in Wyoming. Location sheets for each site will be provided to you to help get you started in your hunt. This is a great family activity that will allow you to combine an interest in technology with the joy of exploring the outdoors. For more information call 616-530-3164 or visit www.geocaching.com.
Kid 2 Kid Sale
Do your kids have lots of old toys, games, movies and sports equipment that they no longer use? If they do then this event is for you. Rent a booth and put you kids to work finding and pricing items to sell. The kids (with help from their parents) will be able to sell, purchase or trade unwanted toys just like a real garage sale. Pre-registration is required if you plan to sell items at the event. All Children at the Kid 2 Kid Sale must be under the supervision of an attending adult.
Pumpkin Path
Come and enjoy a beautiful fall evening with your entire family. You will feel refreshed after taking a stroll along our Pumpkin Path at Lamar Park. Take the opportunity to interact with other families and visiting "hosts" along the path. Local businesses, clubs and groups will "host" spaces along the path to hand out prizes and toys to children.
A pumpkin-carving contest will be held along with this event. Pumpkins will need to be delivered the day of the event for judging. They will then be displayed along the path during the event. More details about this contest to come.
