Finance Office
Our finance division is comprised of eight full-time employees. The Department is responsible for the financial information system, fiscal planning, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue management, investment, and debt management. What Does Finance Really Do? Finance is probably most known for paying people and paying bills. Other areas that are handled by our department include: all aspects associated with payments for payroll and payments to vendors; our insurance plan is administered for medical, dental, vision, liability, property, life and workers compensation; the area of cash management includes investing/tracking funds and bank reconciliation; your retirement plan includes defined benefit, defined contribution, retiree health insurance trust and the defined contribution health plan deferred compensation program; the City budget preparation process; work in the area of bonding; provide necessary financial reporting for various entities; and analyze legislation for financial effects. |
